Fuenlabrada´s GI strategy identifies and characterizes the urban green infrastructure components and proposes general guidelines for the planning and design of a UGI network in the urban and periurban areas of the city.

Urban Green Infrastructure (UGI) gives effective solutions to environmental, social and economic problems, and as such, must be integrated into urban policies. A well-planned Green Infrastructure Network is essential for climate change adaptation and city resilience.
